VLE 2013/14 is now available for tutors. Tutors who find study-unit/s which they no longer teach, or notice any missing study-unit/s, should contact their departmental secretary so that the records can be updated on SIMS.

Tutors can use the VLE Copy Tool to copy study-unit material from last year's VLE 2012/13 and other VLEs (e.g. CPA, VLE 2011/12 etc) to the new VLE 2013/14.

VLE 2012/13 and all its study-unit areas have been moved to the archive section. The VLE 2012/13 along with the VLEs of previous years will remain accessible by tutors and students. More information about the archive policy is available.

An Upgraded VLE for 2013/14

VLE 2013/14 is based on Moodle 2. Compared to previous VLEs (based on Moodle 1.9), the upgraded VLE brings about an enhanced interface, better study-unit management tools and features that will facilitate the delivery of study material. A new feature which most tutors will welcome is the drag-and-drop method to upload study-unit resources to the VLE. Also, the new VLE works well on a wide variety of browsers and mobile devices.

More information about the VLE Upgrade Project is available online.
