The campus is situated in the centre of the island with a unique view of the Valletta skyline from the main quadrangle. At UM we have been conducting guided tours by experienced members of staff for the last twenty years. The main objective of our campus tours has always been to help visitors get a sense of:
We consider all three components to be equally important and have learnt, through past experience, that our prospective students are most interested in the student experience and the facilities available on campus. We believe that no one can narrate our story better than the student themselves!
In line with this philosophy, and as a reaction to an increase in demand for these visitors’ tours, we are recruiting current UM students as our student ambassadors. Their main duty is to assist our office in the organisation of these popular tours.
Given that our tours focus exclusively on the interest of our visitors who normally are planning to apply for one of our courses, we intend to choose students from the following academic streams:
Tours are usually conducted in English and selected students must demonstrate an excellent command of the English language. However, preference will be given to applicants who can also speak in multiple languages.
The payment rate is EUR 25 per tour and a student can do up to a maximum of two tours per week.
