The two Childcare Centres provide nurturing and structured environments for pre-school education. Both It-Tajra and Ilwien welcome children from 12 months to 3 years. The Centres design and resources offers opportunities for various activities such as role play, messy play, construction, pretend play, music, and dance. We utilise the National Learning Outcomes Framework as a guideline for our activities. While our educators plan activities, our emphasis is on the emergent curriculum.
We also offer facilities for nappy changing and a rest area for children attending for extended hours. Our outdoor play areas complement indoor activities, providing a balanced learning experience.

Our activities aim at providing a learning experience that instils in children curiosity and a love for learning. Activities are planned based on the children’s interests and development, while guided by the Learning Outcomes Framework for children between ages 0 to 7, basically, levels 1, 2 and 3.
The above is done through play, storytelling, role play, hands-on activities related to everyday life e.g. learning opposites, hot and cold, tall and short, etc.
Children’s progress and assessments are recorded online daily, and parents have access to the written observations on a daily basis. Moreover, during parents’ individual meetings, held twice a year, each child’s educator discusses the child’s journal and development with the respective parents. The way forward for each child is mapped out together with the parents.
Parents or guardians interested in enrolling their children need to complete the official registration form, which is conveniently accessible online. This registration form remains open throughout the year, allowing parents or guardians to submit it at any time.
Once the form, along with the €40 one-time registration fee, is submitted, the child is officially placed on the Child Educare Services' waiting list. Admission to any of the Centres is contingent upon the waiting list and available vacancies within the specific age group. The waiting list is managed based on the date of registration and order of priority.
Order of Priority:
Parents are contacted at the end of May for the September intake; at the end of September for the February intake; and at the end of February for a July intake.
