As a student at UM you may be eligible for financial support offered by the Get Qualified Scheme. The Get Qualified Scheme supports students in achieving the qualifications required by industry. Upon successful completion of a course, the student will benefit from a tax credit to recover part of the costs incurred. To be able to benefit from this scheme, students are required to apply for the tax credit within two years from the day on which the relevant qualification is obtained.

This scheme is quite similar to the Get Qualified scheme but is governed by the Inland Revenue Department. This scheme enables tertiary education students to receive refunds of up to 100% of the fees paid or up to EUR 10,000 (whichever is the smaller amount). To apply for a tertiary education tax deduction scheme fill in the income tax return the year after your graduation.
